    CivilTech is looking for a Marketing/Proposal Coordinator with an interest in serving as a dynamic contributor to a growing firm. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and leading the management of proposals and other marketing related tasks. This person will report directly to the marketing director and serve as an integral marketing representative to our staff.

    The engineering industry is fast-paced and deadline-driven. This job will require an innate ability to stay calm under tight deadlines and a commitment to project success. This job will also require the ability to manage data entry with a keen attention to detail, assign self-regulated deadlines and stick to those established. No two days look the same and your success will be directly correlated to your ability to adjust with the ebb and flow of deadlines.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and refine statements of qualifications, proposals, staff resumes, projects sheets, client presentations, brochures, website news articles
    • Assist in the search of RFP/RFQ and other opportunities
    • Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities, setting internal deadlines, coordinating with contributors, writing, editing, and meeting review
    • Maintain marketing-related records in the Deltek Vision database
    • Write and revise marketing collateral
    • Work on special marketing projects as needed
    • Ensures all deadlines are met with a high level of quality
    • Completing quality assurance and control reviews of technical documents including review for readability, consistency, clarity and document compliance

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
    • 2+ years of related experience in proposal generation and/or marketing of high quality and acute materials, preferably for architectural and/or engineering firms
    • Strong technical writing abilities
    • Strong Adobe Creative Suite experience, specifically InDesign
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
    • Strong communication, listening skills and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
    • Flexibility, responsiveness, and confidence in handling multiple deadlines and accommodating shifting priorities
    • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with management, staff and external contacts
    • He/she must be poised under fast-paced pressure and have a positive attitude.

This person will be the technical expertise of the advancement of roadway plans at all levels of development, including conceptual design, environmental document preparation, schematics and/or PS&E preparation. In addition to a variety of projects, this opportunity will grant the successful candidate a strong opportunity for growth and management of graduate engineers, EIT, and new professional engineers. 

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Provides technical guidance on all aspects of projects and proposed plans

      Works with Project Management team to coordinate scope and strategy

      Prepares project designs and reports related to transportation projects

      Participates in client interaction as technical expert and helps to strengthen client relationship

      Directs technical staff in the preparation of construction drawings

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

      • 8-10 years experience as a Transportation Engineer designing highway and roadway systems
      • Strong experience with design software such as Geopak and Microstation (specifically OpenRoads) and ability to lead team in production process
      • Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas
      • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar, Master’s degree is a plus, but not required

      LANGUAGE SKILLS:

      COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

      Candidate must demonstrate basic knowledge of Microstation and GeoPak, including Corridor Modeler.
