CivilTech Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer with 7+ years of experience in its Cypress, Texas office. This person will primarily be responsible for assisting with projects and proposals within our Land Development and Infrastructure group. On a daily basis, this person will be designing roadway drainage systems, sanitary and storm sewer, paving and detention facilities. A successful candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of clearly defined assignments that require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Using prescribed methods, applies techniques to specific civil engineering projects
- Proven leadership capabilities of EIT’s, CAD technicians and designers in the production of plans and reports as requested by the client
- Undertakes basic research on engineering conditions and laws and permitting organizations such as City, State and County officials to develop knowledge of permitting process and the application of codes to engineering assignments.
- Assists with the preparation of documentation including plans, maps, drawings, reports, data spreadsheets, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience within Land Development/Infrastructure (i.e. waterline, sanitary and storm sewer, neighborhood improvements, etc.)
- Extreme proficiency of standard design software (i.e. AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, Civil3D extension is a plus)
- Received PE license, active in Texas
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s a plus but not required
- Experience in design for City of Houston or Harris County is a must

CivilTech Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Project Manager with 10+ years experience. This person will be managing projects from start to finish by developing design including cost estimates, contract review, and gathering plans and specifications. Additionally, this person will be performing hydrologic and hydraulic studies for flood control projects, storm water drainage systems, master drainage plans, and highway drainage systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates must have strong technical skills, including ability to analyze reports, maps, drawings and other technical data to plan and design projects
Team spirit and willingness to assist junior staff in a team environment to deliver accurate project deliverables within designated scope, schedule and budget parameters
Ability to meet with clients and maintain excellent client relations and meet client expectations, including an ability to concisely explain project status and address/remedy client concerns
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Must be able to prepare project scopes of work, cost proposals, schedules and contracts
Prepare, modify or direct preparation and modification of reports, and plans, for projects
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
10+ years experience within Water Resources (i.e. H&H, drainage systems, flood control, etc.)
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Water Resources
Must have excellent working knowledge of standard software for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including USACE HEC Software (HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoHMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-DSS) and ESRI ArcGIS
Demonstrated proficiency in drainage PS&E design, specifically for TxDOT
Professional Engineer with current Texas registration
Experience working with Harris County Flood Control District, and/or City of Houston is preferred
Proficiency with 1D-2D modelling software is preferred
